Over 730 acres of land are currently dedicated to plant and sod production at Green View Nursery. Adjoining our corporate headquarters and Garden Center in Dunlap, Illinois, our nursery produces large volumes of sod, as well as shade, ornamental, and evergreen trees. In addition to growing more quality sod, Green View's second nursery, located in Woodford County, serves as a complete container growing operation. It is here that we propagate and produce many of the quality shrubs and perennials that supply our five landscape centers. Expert horticulturists and extensive irrigation and fertilization practices allow Green View to produce what we feel is some of Illinois' finest nursery stock. Green View sod is grown on rich, prairie soil with a balanced level of fertility, insuring a strong root system and lush foliage. Sod is cut fresh daily and comes direct from the nursery to you. Research has shown that a blend of bluegrass is superior to any single variety alone. Thus, Green View sod is a blend of improved bluegrass strains, developed especially for the Midwest. We are constantly researching and experimenting with new strains of bluegrass to develop the finest sod found anywhere in the Midwest.
