Darren’s passion for landscaping began at an early age, inspired by his aunt’s love for gardening and her curiosity for trying new plants. Some of his earliest memories include helping design and build her garden, where she would spend hours enjoying her flower beds filled with snapdragons. That experience sparked a lifelong appreciation for creating outdoor spaces that bring people joy.

With over 15 years at Green View, Darren has built his career from the ground up. He spent the majority of his time as a Landscape Foreman, gaining extensive hands-on experience in installation before transitioning into his current role as a Landscape Design-Sales Consultant. This shift has allowed him to bring his field knowledge into the design process, helping clients reimagine their outdoor spaces with both creativity and practicality in mind.

Darren especially enjoys working on projects that transform how a space is used, including patios, retaining walls, and outdoor living areas. His approach centers around functionality, ensuring that every design works for the people who will use it every day. By combining thoughtful design with real-world experience, he helps create spaces that are both beautiful and livable.

For Darren, a successful landscape project is one that delivers a true “wow” moment. Whether he was in the field or now on the design side, the most rewarding part of his work is seeing a client’s excitement when their vision comes to life. He values the strong relationships he builds with clients and appreciates how easy they are to work with, creating a positive experience from start to finish.

He believes Green View stands apart as a true full-service provider. From initial design and installation to ongoing maintenance, the team offers a seamless experience backed by knowledgeable professionals and a strong commitment to customer service.

Outside of work, Darren is deeply connected to the outdoors. Growing up on a family farm, he continues to stay close to that lifestyle today. He spends time tending to honey bees, tapping maple trees for syrup in the winter, and working with a sawmill. When he is not working, you can often find him fishing, walking through the timber with his family, or staying active through sports with his kids.

Among his favorite landscape features are outdoor kitchens, which he enjoys for their ability to bring people together and extend the comfort of indoor living into the outdoors.
